ABOUT THE OWNER

Nara Schramm, Ph.D., L.Ac., L.C.H.

• Licensed Acupuncturist, Licensed Chinese Herbalist

Nara received her doctorate in microbiology from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill in 1995 and has a strong background in Western scientific research. She left the world of research to pursue her passion in alternative health care in 1998. Nara studied Chinese Medicine during a three-year masters program at Southwest Acupuncture College in Boulder, Colorado. Her fascination with acupuncture started after seeing how beneficial the effects were for animals. Today, she is inspired by how helpful acupuncture and Chinese herbs can be for any condition.

Nara’s philosophy on healing revolves around the idea that there is health when the body’s energy is in balance. Using the five branches of Oriental Medicine (acupuncture, herbs, massage, energy work, and nutrition), Nara strives to guide the body towards a natural state of health and awaken the body’s natural ability to heal itself. She enjoys spending time getting to know her clients and listening to what they want to achieve from their treatment.
